Brian Heasley is the International Prayer Director for 24-7 Prayer, having previously served as the National UK Director; he has served on the International Oversight team throughout this time. Brian also works at Lambeth Palace as International Ecumenical Lead for “Thy Kingdom Come”, an initiative of the Archbishop of Canterbury. Prior to this, Brian and his wife, Tracy, pioneered the work of 24-7 Prayer in the party area of Ibiza, Spain, where they lived for 8 years, developing rhythms of prayer and mission, with a heart to bring about change in a place the British press once described as Sodom and Gomorrah. His book, “Gatecrashing”, tells the story of 24-7 Prayer in Ibiza. Before living in Ibiza, Brian was the Senior Pastor of a thriving church in Norfolk, England. Brian is a gifted and passionate communicator with a real heart for prayer, mission and justice. He is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, and now lives in England. Brian and Tracy have two adult sons.
Pete Carter is one of the directors at Eastgate. His heart is to see the full potential of Christianity realised through our daily lives. He also has a particular passion to see the world of medicine affected by the power and love of God, and for Christian healing to sit alongside good medicine for the sake of any who choose to benefit from it.
Along with others, he founded the Healing Centre at Eastgate in 2011. Since then, thousands have experienced the presence and peace of God in a joyful environment; and many miraculous healings have occurred. Last year, we officially launched our Heaven in Healthcare initiative, helping Christians involved in all aspects of healthcare to access and manifest the fullness of heaven in their environments.
At Eastgate we believe God is our loving Father and that His heart is for all people to be well, living free from sickness and disease. And we love seeing people touched by God’s love and power.
Pete Carter is also author of Unwrapping Lazarus, an inspirational book about the journey from glory to glory. He spends his time developing the people of Eastgate, helping other churches and ministries to grow leadership structures that reflect a heavenly model, and pursuing healing.
Steve Jones is the Leader of our Sphere SALT & LIGHT ADVANCE. He along with his wife Bev lead the Oxford Community Church.
He holds a DPhil in Zoology from the University of Oxford, a BA in Theology from LST (University of Middlesex) and a CertHE in Theological Studies from the University of Gloucestershire. Steve is keenly interested in finding ways for the church’s gospel witness and its social engagement to work in synergy, and so to see the Christian faith thriving in public life. He has served as a Christian representative on the city council-sponsored ‘Oxford Council of Faiths,’ has catalysed a conference for Christians working in the caring professions, and was the founding chair of governors at Tyndale Community School. He now oversees the development of Christian ethos for a multi-academy trust, and sits on the board of the Edge Housing project, who run the annual Oxford Churches Housing Conference.
Mark Mumford is speaking on the first evening of the camp. He needs no introduction to many of us, having been around Salt & Light ministries since ‘the early days’. He and Nesta are much loved and valued senior leaders based in the East Midlands. They are in a period of transition as they hand over responsibilities to a new team, but not planning to retire just yet! Mark brings scriptural truth with a light and humorous touch – it’s going to be a good night!
